I grew up in both the South Bronx of NYC and Catskill Mountains of New York. I graduated from Greenville Class of 1963, with 41 Seniors. Afterward, I went to Hudson Valley Comm. College and worked as a waiter at the Stone Ends Restaurant in Albany NY. I joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 1964, and the Regular U.S. Air Force in 1965. Upon my return to the US, I worked as a Systems Engineer with UNIVAC/Sperry, and received my BA from Boise State University, Class of 1972. I went to University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado, Class of 1976. While in law school I headed a student organization to change faculty hiring to include woman and minority faculty. In 1976, I came to DC and served in both the Carter and Reagan Administration in political appointments focus on civil and human rights (I was senior adviser on an Inter-agency White House Economic Study on Puerto Rico). In 1983, I went to the Republic of Colombia to serve as Assistant General Counsel/Contract Administrator with Morrison-Knudsen International in the construction of a $2 Billion coal mine. Since 1987, I have maintained my international practice.
